In our daily lives, we juggle family, career, health & wellness, as well as a multitude of other tasks. Often times, that list can become overwhelming, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, those lines were blurred, further offsetting the balance. I noticed that downward shift, and wanted to be proactive about changing the narrative.
A meditation practice does not change the world around you, it impacts the way you interpret and react to a given situation. I wanted to empower our members with the tools to more effectively approach their daily lives. We partnered with MNDFL Meditation Studio, a team that focuses on lowering stress, building resilience, increasing focus and optimizing inter-personal relationships. In a three-part virtual series, MNDFL instructors focused on Breath, Mind & Heart. They walked us through the foundational principles of meditation, breaking down the elements into an easily adoptable self-guided practice. While we could not meet in-person, an element of inter-connectedness was achieved. Each session build upon the last one’s tactics, and even skeptics came away with useful tools.
After each series, I received so many messages about the transformational shift attendees had experienced. Later on, I received even more feedback about the long-lasting effects of implementing the self-guided meditation principals learned from MNDFL. It was such an important event that we have hosted several series since.
